Wallaby Track has now developed a heavy duty tub cage kit.
The cage kit is perfect for keeping your gear/dogs secure.
It enables full access to the tub and has the versatility of still being able to be removed. It is perfect for dogs as the canopy breathes with insect screens being an option.
Once again the kit is easily self installed. It will arrive boxed and requires assembly (approx 1.5 hours).
The kits are dispatched from our workshop ex Sydney.
Full written instructions with illustrations are provided to fit the kit and it can be installed by 2 people without any trade knowledge.
The following tools are required to fit the kit: Cordless drill, 10mm drill bit for steel. Allen key Set, 17mm spanner & Philips head screwdriver
The kit offers the following:
- Black Powder Coated Heavy Duty Steel Frame
- 3mm Hexagon gas strut lift Aluminium mill finish doors
- 2mm Hexagon Aluminium mill finish roof and front panel
- 6 keyed alike drop T locks
- 4 bolt installation to inside lip of tub using heavy duty black powder coated securing brackets
The kit weighs approx 70kg.
The heavy duty tub cage frame can hold 135kg travelling and 300kg stationary.
Options available are black powder coated ladder racks, clear panels and insect screens.
The insect screens are completely sealed (zipped and velcro’d off) and can roll up separate to the canvas
New heavy duty paw proof insect screen now available for large or very active dogs
Most popular Roof Top Tent brands can be mounted directly on top without ladder racks. Mounting blocks and instructions to fit the RTT are standard with every kit.
Virtually all brands of aftermarket platform racks can be bolted on top of the kit using specialised mounting stubs we can provide.
The canopy is 100% waterproof (without or without ladder racks) and 98% dustproof (if tailgate seal is fitted). The kits have been tested extensively for dust ingress and is barely noticeable (with tailgate seal fitted).
As is the case with all Wallaby Track (100% Australian owned) products the kit has been proudly designed, developed, tested and made in Australia. We wouldn’t offer anything less.

The heavy duty tub cage kit is covered by 12 months warranty.
** Please note – for total security the tailgate would need to be able to be locked as the rear cage door does not overlap the tailgate**
