Wallaby Track has now developed a heavy duty tub cage kit.

The cage kit is perfect for keeping your gear/dogs secure.

It enables full access to the tub and has the versatility of still being able to be removed. 

The kit will arrive boxed and requires assembly (approx. 2.5 hrs). The kits are dispatched from our workshop ex Sydney. 

Full written instructions with illustrations are provided to fit the kit. It can be installed by 2 able bodied people. Some trade knowledge will assist in the assembly of the product and knowledge of use of basic tools is required.

The following tools are required to fit the kit: Cordless drill, 10mm drill bit for steel, Allen key set, 17mm spanner, Philips head screwdriver and Pop rivet gun.

The kit offers the following:

Frame & Construction

  • Heavy duty black powder coated steel frame
  • 135kg travelling capacity, 300kg stationary
  • Roof top tent or flat rack mounts directly on top — no ladder racks required
  • Roof top tent mounting kit and instructions included — suits any RTT using the sliding channel bolt method (approx. 95% of roof top tents sold in Australia)
  • Ladder racks can also be fitted if required — ideal for 270 degree awnings
  • Virtually all aftermarket platform racks can be bolted on using specialised mounting stubs ($90, request in notes)

 

Panels & Locks

  • 3mm hexagonal gas strut lift mill finish aluminium doors — (black powder coating available)
  • 2mm hexagonal mill finish aluminium roof and front panel — (black powder coating available)
  • 6 keyed alike drop T locks
  • 4 bolt installation to inside tub lip using heavy duty steel black powder coated brackets

 

Canvas

  • 100% waterproof with or without ladder racks
  • 98% dustproof with tailgate seal fitted — dust ingress barely noticeable in testing
  • Attaches via velcro to the frame — no buttons needed
  • Insect screens completely sealed (zipped and velcroed), roll up independently from canvas
  • Heavy duty paw proof insect screen available for large or very active dogs

  • 2 people required, capable of lifting 35kg each
  • Tools needed: cordless drill, 10mm steel drill bit, allen key set, 16mm spanner, Phillips head screwdriver, pop rivet gun

Note:

  • For total security the tailgate must also be lockable, as the rear cage door does not overlap the tailgate.
  • If your tub has an over lip liner this will need to be cut to fit. An under lip liner requires no modification
